Seeing the bracelet seemed to bring her back down to earth. She looked at the beads, they were a beautiful blue. She had done a good job.
She glanced towards the door, half expecting to see Diego storm through, but instead, only over heard the conversation of him and his sister.
It didn't make her sad, upset, or happy, she had expected that outcome. For that was what she wanted to happen.
She listened hard, waiting to here the front door slam, and only then did she get up. The pain was brief, only leaving a dull thrum.
Now was the waiting game.

Three days had past before an assassin had come to check on her. And within those three days, she had wrecked the house. Making it look like a large struggle had taken place; and with that, seeing the pictures.
It had shocked her at first, seeing herself on the pages, feeling the emotion radiate from them. A part of herself had wanted to keep them, as a memory, however she knew that it was a bad idea. She needed to get this small event of her life tucked away in the farthest corner of her thoughts. It would be easier that way. But she did cringe when she thew them away. No matter who drew it, art was art, and it should never be treated so harshly.
Aswel as wrecking the house, she made sure to put a nice bump on her head. She needed the proof if she were to play the part.
The target had over powered her, knocked her out, ruined her knee, and hauled ass.
End of story.
At least her 'savior' had believed it. He didn't question any further when they were walking, only kept his arm around her for support.
"Do you remember what he looked like?" Was the only question he pushed for, and she merely shrugged it off.
" They heard me coming, and put the fire out. It was a battle in the dark. They were ready. " She had replied, even though every word that came out of her mouth was a lie.
But he believed it, and it would give the family some time.
The horse up ahead stomped his feet and whined loudly. Obviously anxious.
"The damn brute has been doing this the whole time we have been here." The assassin growled, tugging the reigns and bringing him closer to Rahmil.
" There are lions in these parts. " She mumbled, fingering the blue bracelet on her wrist.
