Assassination Contracts
Welcome to this new customizable event for anyone at all who wants to experience the challenge of hunting a human opponent. Feel free to sign up here!
So what is this all about? In short, this is where any assassin (or Templar) can come and request a contract to RP out to conclusion. If you were to sign up, technically any registered member of the site could respond, but for those unanswered requests I'll(Onas) be happy to write opposite anyone who wants a shot.
So how does it work? Easy. You sign up and fill out the handy form at the bottom to the level of detail that you would like to see reciprocated. Then I will respond as soon as I see it (or anyone else may answer the request first). Each Contract will be unique and can be as custom tailored to your specifications as you desire. After the contract's terms are established, the contractee will initiate the thread, and you will now move in with your assassin.
Templar: The name of the Templar you would like to take out a contract on.(If you don't have a name, it's fine as one can always be generated.
Time Period: The time period desired. Remember that some of the games took place spanning over 20 years (I'm looking at you Ezio) and even terms like "Renaissance" are even broader. Please be as specific as possible, precise years being best but descriptions around entries in the game are also acceptable (e.g. 5 years after Revelations).
Setting: This can be as detailed as you would like or as bare bones as you would like. Please remember, the more you give the more you get. For instance, if you had a bunch of climbing and air assassinations in mind, but then I write the Templar as being in a gondola on the Grand Canal of Venice way out there where you can't dive from a building, then unknowingly I would have foiled your plans. If you wanted to hunt a Templar who might give you a run for your money with a chase and fight at the end, but I put you up against a frail old man who would likely have died in a week anyway, it might mess up your story.
Remember to be creative, but more importantly, have fun! It is possible to do both. I mention the old man route because it adds internal conflict for your young character. What if it's someone they know, what if he looks old and frail, but he's a ruthless Templar killer. This is literally up to you in every sense of the phrase. There are so many choices to pick from at your fingertips to help me further develop a story for you. Just let your mind run wild!
Desired Difficulty: This isn't set in stone, as there is no discernible way to figure what one writer would have said was easy or difficult to overcome vs the next writer. It's simply a point of reference for the opposing writer to decide how much crap to throw in your way. If you want to have to think about what your writing, you might ask for a harder difficulty. Alternatively, you might ask for a simple face off, if you simply want to run your Templar down or even a duel. Both the difficulty of the thread from an IC perspective (a weak or tough opponent) and an OOC perspective (a short contract compared to a lengthy RP possibly stretching into numerous threads) should be considered.[/ul]
