Cause I’m gonna make this place your home.
History: All his life, Diego has trained to spy on the assassins. He has known since he was very little that one day he would infiltrate the order, and become the eyes and ears where no one else could see or hear. It was a position, a responsibility, of honor. He learned to talk like them, walk like them, with their little phrases and rituals. He knew he would have to kill some of his own if he was to gain their trust, but the others knew it too, and understood. They would watch for him and flee, but if they were caught, bonds could not be exposed in front of the assassins. And yet, nothing could have prepared him for the day he had to leave.
"DEGI!!!" His sisters ran to him, sobbing. One clung to his leg, and the other threw her arms around his waist and buried her face into his shirt.
The eighteen year old knelt down to look them in the eyes, and put a hand beneath each of their chins. "Don't cry." he pleaded. He hugged each of them tightly. Then he was serious, "If you ever see me again you must pretend not to know me. Understood?" But of course, he doubted their young self-control. He knew his parents would teach them properly, in time. "Listen to Mama and Papa. Do whatever they tell you."
"But when will we see you again?" asked the eldest. "Who will protect us?"
"Someday." said Diego as he stood up again. He couldn't bare to be at eye level with them anymore, watching them cry. "And Papa will protect you." And so will I.
"Papa isn't a good lion." said the youngest, who had resumed hugging his leg.
Diego laughed quietly and a lump came to his throat. "Rrrrroar!" he put his hands up and pretended to have claws. A small smile came over his lips as his sisters ran away, but a tear slid down his cheek. He pushed it away.
"Son." A hand that had once been so large grasped his shoulder. Now it looked just like his. "You'll do fine. Remember your training."
He grabbed his father's shoulder in response. "I will, Padre. Take care of Mama."
His mother put his hands on his face. Her eyes shown with tears she could not blink away. "Mi corazón." she whispered. My heart. "Be strong. You are a Liberatore. So liberate."
"Mama..." was all he could say. He kissed her cheek and pulled away from his parents. He mounted his horse. "You must hide. Remember the place." he said, and then rode away to join his most hated enemies.
"May the Father of Understanding guide you!" his father called after him.
----------------------------- Five Years Later -----------------------------
"Tony!" One of his 'brethren' slapped him on the back. "Go look at the list. It's just been posted."
Sure enough, a small crowd of his comrades had gathered around a table in the den. Diego walked up to it and squeezed into the crowd. He looked at the document.

The Liberatore Family - Location Unknown
His heart skipped a beat. Diego stopped breathing. Suddenly, he was alone. There was no more sound. There were no more people. There was no more anything. He thought of his sisters, and his father and his mother. The last time he saw them played over and over in his head. He left the den and went to the stables. He mounted his horse and rode out to meet his contact. He had to warn them.
